Adfam

Our Idea

The national charity organisation Adfam is devoted to changing the lives of families affected by drugs and alcohol. Here at Adfam, we desire to provide help for persons influenced by someone else's alcohol or drug abuse, and also give them a chance to be a part of a supportive community and to enjoy mental and bodily well being.

The use of drugs and alcohol can ultimately destroy a family's wellbeing and the relationships within it.

Our Mission

To prevent this from happening, we encourage family members and caretakers, reassure frontline workers and impact those that make decisions.

What We Value

We talked with family members and frontline laborers People who have experienced these type of problems most likely can provide some solutions. Our supporters informed what we do: We support and empower both people affected by substance misuse and the workers who support them with the evidence and compassion with us. So that both groups can help themselves, their peers, communities and clients, we build skills, confidence, pathways and resources.

We're Driven By What Works

Our aim is to improve health and happiness decisions in family set up, work place and social gatherings. This is the secret behind our dynamic approach to drug and alcohol abuse. To accomplish all of this, we gladly accept different kinds of evidence, and we lean on real life experiences as well as formal scientific facts. Our work is inspired by our families, friends, supporters and co-workers and what they tell us works.

We're Committed To Fulfil Our Purpose

We are committed to deliver high quality work because we are serious about our work and our partnerships. We are commit to treating families and individuals that suffer the consequences of substance abuse with consideration and honour because we understand that discrimination and disgrace are obstacles to recovery and cause damage. We are going to fight until society accepts drug and alcohol addicts and their families without shaming them.

Who We Work With

  • Family, friends and caretakers - In order to ensure those affected by another's substance use have a stake in the issue that affect them, we inform and empower them and also amplify their voices.
  • Frontline workers - We seek to build individual confidence to take control to support family and work mates in a common goal.
  • Leaders- We make sure that main local and national decision-makers know the problems that families deal with on a daily basis and we try to engage with them and affect their decisions.
